Chasing Sunset: SOL25 Day 21

I boarded a plane at 6:30pm…shortly before sunset in my place. A not-quite-full plane meant I sat near the window with my sister in the aisle and space between.

As we traveled north (not too far north), I watched the sun hanging out along the horizon…and about an hour later, I was still watching it as the sky began show off bands of red and orange.

And knowing that time was slipping away, I revised my idea for today’s post and settled on a 6-word story instead.

Chasing northern sunsets as we fly.

Six word stories are perfect also without explanations. The airplane views always leave me wonder and I hardly ever have the right words to describe them.

Your title is perfect–how cool to hang out with the sunset for a while. I’m a nervous flyer, so I never sit near the window and rarely look out it. I’m always pretending I’m not on a plane –with the help of a good book! Now I want to know where you’re going! Happy travels!

I have never seen a sunset from a plane so I love the image both in picture and in writing. I forgot about the six word story. Thanks for the reminder!

Six word stories ftw! Yours is beautiful as is the photo. Slicing on vacay is challenging, so those 6 word memoirs/stories come in handy. Have a great trip!
